-
- Well I'll try. I've got MuFS installed but I don't use it, I just
- installed it because I wanted to protect some files - which I now have
- taken off the HD for _total_ security. I take it you've RTFM? ;)
-
- You say you've got backups, but they obviously don't sound like boot disks,
- do they? I don't know what is say's about protecting SYS:, but I think
- common sense says it's a bad idea. The principal behind MuFS is that the
- SYS: partition and most, if not all, of your application programs are
- available to all, while the data files are protected from accessing by
- other users, and of course uninvited fingers!
-
- This is off the top of my head but I think the only thing you can do is
- boot from Workbench floppies and run HDTools, RDB or GVPrep or whatever you
- used to prep the drive. (I didn't get HDTools with my A1200, b******d C= ).
-
- Then change the file system to the standard, whatever the hell that was
- called :), using the FastFileSystem handler, and then write RDB, or write
- changes - whatever applies to the tool u are using. Then you should be
- able to access the SYS: partition by re-booting and then be able to restore
- your MuFS backups to HD.
-
- As I said this is offf the top of my head. If you need more help, mail me
- with details of the prep tool you use and I'll try to mail you some more
- specific instructions.
-
- BTW you do have recent backups of your partitions don't you? ;)
-
- PS BTW How did you write this post? Curious.
